How do we collect your personal data?

We collect personal data primarily in three ways:
- Personal data you provide to us;
- Personal data we receive from other sources;
- and personal data we collect automatically.
We collect your contact information only when a professional/candidate/applicant/intern or trainee provides your name as a reference.
We collect your personal data automatically using cookies when you visit our website, based on the cookie settings in your browser. When you contact us through the website we will also collect data from you.
How do we use your personal data?

In general, we use your information for:
- Screening and selection procedures;
- Application activities, an assessment may be part of our application procedure;
- Marketing activities.
In exceptional cases we may be forced to use your personal data in criminal proceedings.
The main reason for using your personal details is to help you find work or other positions that may suit you. Where appropriate and in accordance with local laws and regulations, we may also use your personal details for such purposes as marketing and profiling. Where required we will seek your consent to carry out all or some of these activities.
Website visitor data helps us to improve your user experience with our website.
Using referees is useful in helping you find a suitable job.
Who do we share your personal data with?
We may share your personal data in a variety of ways and on various legal grounds with the following categories of people, where appropriate and in accordance with local laws and regulations;
- All business entities falling under the Eurofiber Group;
- When required by law or legislation: Tax, audit or other authorities;
- Third parties such as service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as RPO/Recruitment partner EN HR solutions;
- Third parties such as outsourced IT providers and file storage providers with whom we have a processing agreement;
- Platforms for marketing technology and vendors.

How do we protect your personal data?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorized access.

How long do we store your personal data for?
- If you have registered via open registration we will retain your data for a period of 1 year after we have had no meaningful contact with you, unless the law or relevant regulators require us to retain your data for a longer period.
- If you apply specifically for one of our vacancies, we will remove your personal data within 4 weeks of completing the application process. If you have given us permission to include your personal data in our database when submitting an application via the website, we will retain your personal data for a period of 1 year.
- If we have stored your data for a reference check, we will delete your data after completion of the application process.
How do you access, amend or withdraw your personal data that you had shared with us?
Under the AVG, you have various rights concerning the personal data we hold about you. By contacting us we can discuss these with you and handle them in accordance with the applicable time limit.

Our legal basis for processing your data
Processing is necessary to concluding an employment contract
Based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 b of the GDPR, we may process your personal data if the processing is necessary to conclude an employment contract. Where necessary, we will ask you for permission to process personal data.
Based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR, we may process your data if it is "necessary for the legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party, except where the interests or the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data outweigh those interests, etc."
However, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data on this basis. In that case, please contact us.
We believe that it is reasonable to expect you to agree that we may collect your information and use your personal data to provide you with our job opportunities.
In certain circumstances, we are required to obtain your consent to process your personal data in relation to certain activities. Depending on exactly what we do with your information, this consent will be op-in consent or soft op-in consent.
Art. 4 (11) of the GDPR states that (opt-in) consent means: "any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous expression of will by which the data subject accepts, by way of declaration or unambiguous active act, processing of personal data concerning him." In plain language, this means that:
- You must give us your consent freely, without us putting any pressure on you;
- You need to know what you are agreeing to - so we make sure we give you enough information;
- You should have control over the processing activities for which you consent and the processing activities for which you do not consent; and
- You must give your consent through a clear active action - You can do this by ticking a check box, so this requirement is met in a clear and unambiguous way.
We will maintain a record of the consent you have given in this way.
We have already mentioned that in some cases we may rely on soft opt-in consent. We are permitted to offer you products or services related to the recruitment services we provide as long as you do not actively opt-out of these messages.
Right to withdraw consent
Where we have obtained your consent to process your personal data for certain activities, you may withdraw this consent at any time, at which point we will cease the activity for which you have given consent, unless we consider that there is a legal basis to justify continued processing of your data for this purpose. Formulating, conducting or defending criminal proceedings
