The Procurement department is responsible within Eurofiber for the development, realization, and monitoring of a consistent (strategic) procurement policy. In addition, the department actively contributes to the optimization of supplier relationships in the areas of procurement, contract, and vendor management. The goal of the department is to make a sustainable and positive contribution to the growth and success of the organization through the proper use of procurement expertise. The department supports all business units.

As a Procurement Specialist within Eurofiber, you will be responsible for formulating a procurement strategy in line with Eurofiber’s overall multi-year strategic plan. Together with the team and your manager, you will translate the strategy into tactical plans, ensure the execution of the procurement projects and processes, and monitor progress. You will contribute to the further professionalization of the procurement team and represent the Procurement department within the rest of the internal organization and with external parties.

In this role, you will contribute to the creation of a consistent supplier strategy that also takes into account future markets and new technologies. You will ensure that procurement keeps influenceable items within budget and within deadlines. In addition, you will proactively engage with budget holders and Finance to identify all procurement-related information. Finally, you will advise the team and your manager on a tactical and strategic level on all job-related issues.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will have ultimate responsibility for procurement networks from third parties. This includes agreements with data centers, network suppliers, etc. You do this in close cooperation with the Procurement Specialists from your team and the Contract Manager. In addition, you are able to take on all-round procurement projects in the role of project purchaser.

Your department is Network Infrastructure, which realizes and manages the Eurofiber fiber-optic network and all associated facilities such as network locations, colocation purchase, and the procurement of external supplier connectivity. Within the Network Infrastructure department, you will work for the Site & OLO Management sub-department, which is responsible for managing Eurofiber Group’s network locations and hiring network third parties. 

This is you

  • Bachelor level 
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant work experience 
  •  Experience in a telecom, infra, or IT environment 
  • Good commercial and communication skills
  • The ability to be versatile in our changing environment
  • A professional attitude aimed at collaboration
  • A client-centric focus
  • You have an excellent command of spoken and written French (native speaker) and can also express yourself well in English and Dutch. 

For this position, we are looking for an independent candidate with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Someone who thinks in terms of possibilities and structural solutions. You have proven track records for complex negotiations and procurement processes. You have knowledge of and affinity for finance and technology.
