Job Description
We are recruiting a Fiber Designer who will be responsible for the design and planning of our optical fiber network conform the standardized “Fiber Design Rules” to assure a consistent and high quality delivery of the networks.
A quick overview of your new job
You will be responsible for the detailed planning and design of fiber network projects in our planning- and registration system. You specify the details to guarantee accurate and complete information on the project.
You will also share knowledge and expertise on the expansion of our fiber networks to assure that the planning and design delivered by colleagues and external parties is of high quality.
Furthermore you will execute quality checks on the delivered projects in Network Infrastructure (100% control) and client connections (10%). This project acceptance and audit is based on the Fiber Design Rules and the original design. Corrections will be shared with suppliers and contract owners.
You will contribute on the optimization of Fiber Design Rules in collaboration with the Network Specialist Fiber Infrastructure. Goal is that the plans and designs contribute to efficient and highly qualitative project realizations.

Qualifications
This is you
- You have + 3 years of experience in the design of optical fiber networks.
- You are familiar with GIS systems and Fiber network registration systems.
- You have strong analytical skills. You take rational decisions based on the available information and are able to see the bigger picture.
- Fluent in English. It is a plus to master Dutch or French.
