Job Description
As Financial Controller, you manage the accounting of Eurofiber NV in accordance with Belgian statutory and tax regulations.
You will report to the Finance Director of Belgium and lead a team of two people. You will work closely with the Business Controller and Credit Controller within the Finance team in Belgium. Furthermore, you regularly consult with Finance colleagues at our headquarters in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Correct, complete, and timely month-end closing of Eurofiber NV;
- Proper preparation and filing of the financial statements and annual report;
- Ensure compliance with all legal tax requirements, such as monthly VAT returns, tax returns, property tax returns, etc.;
- Lead the financial audits, collect the requested information for this purpose, and discuss it with the auditors;
- Optimize financial processes and align them with the needs of the organization;
- Serve as the financial ‘key user’ and represent the interests of ‘Finance Belgium’ regarding the interface between Salesforce (CRM) and Exact Globe (accounting package);
- Liaise with external partners such as company auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other official bodies;
- Coordinate and support the invoicing process so that customers are invoiced in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications
Background
- Master’s degree in an economic field, supplemented by at least five years of experience;
- Good understanding of IFRS, VAT, and tax law;
- Precise, analytical, with an eye for details;
- Communicative team player;
- Experience in managing a team;
- Speak and write very good Dutch, French, and English.
