Job Description

What will you do?

As a Junior Site Manager, you will be part of the Network Infrastructure department within the Network Development & Operations Business Unit. This department is responsible for managing our fiber-optic network and all related facilities, such as telecom cabinets, shelters, and third-party colocation spaces.

In this role, you will support the execution of the maintenance program and monitor the quality, safety, and availability of our network locations. As the current Site Manager is progressing into Contract Management, this creates an opportunity for a new talent to step into this role — an excellent chance to grow into a fully-fledged Site Manager.

You will learn how to technically manage our sites, assess maintenance reports, and initiate the appropriate actions in the event of incidents or deviations. In doing so, you will contribute to a highly reliable infrastructure at the lowest possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development, execution, and management of maintenance programs for our network facilities.

  • Taking ownership of assigned network locations and ensuring optimal site management.

  • Reviewing work orders and checklists from maintenance partners and following up where necessary.

  • Monitoring the quality, safety, and availability of our infrastructure.

  • Actively contributing ideas for improvements in the areas of sustainability (CSR) and cost optimization.

  • Supporting change initiatives and ensuring safe and well-planned execution of activities.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for operational questions from the Network Management Center (NMC).

  • Collaborating with suppliers and technical specialists as a knowledgeable sparring partner.

Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s level of working and thinking, preferably in an (electro-)technical or facility management field.

  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure or facility management is an asset.

  • Affinity with maintenance processes, project management, and operational sustainability.

  • A structured and detail-oriented way of working.

  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English (French is a plus).
