Are you a pro at creating the most logical and cost-efficient routes for fiber optic connections for our customers? Do you possess the necessary technical knowledge but can also bridge the gap with commerce and excel at cost calculations? Then this is the ideal job for you!

As a Sales Engineer, you are the technical and commercial expert in the field of Eurofiber's fiber optic infrastructure. You can make optimal cost calculations using our digital cable registration system (Cocon) by determining the optimal routes for the required connections.

Your Role

  • You translate the wishes and needs of customers and account managers into geographical overviews, network drawings, and budgets.
  • If desired, you accompany the account managers to determine customer needs and promote the Eurofiber infrastructure.
  • In this role, you are responsible for preparing the work and making cost calculations. You ensure meticulous elaboration and proper integration within the associated processes.
  • You support account managers.
  • You can be part of a bid team for, for example, a tender.
  • You collaborate with a solution architect on complex connectivity issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can independently take on tasks and has experience collaborating with contractors. You enjoy being part of a larger whole and understand the connections that exist. Your work style brings people together. You possess the necessary technical fiber knowledge, but you can also bridge the gap with commerce, which is evident in the texts you write, such as quotations.

You have/are:

  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the Telecom industry in a pre-sales role or an executive fiber optic infrastructure role.
  • Comparable experience with other underground infrastructures.
  • Experience with GIS applications (e.g., Mapinfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Experience with SalesForce, Exact of similar programs
  • Experience with fiber optic networks.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English. French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 1 time a month to the Netherlands.
